Responsibilities Palm Shores is hiring for a full-time Manager of Residential Services Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11-17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home. The Manager of Residential Services is accountable for the patient care units and for the direct supervision and oversight of the Mental Health Techs and shift supervisors. The Manager of Residential Services will work in close collaboration with the Director to Nursing, Director of Clinical Services and Director of Risk to accomplish the mission of the organization. Through strong leadership, communication, and management skills, the Manager of Residential Services has a vital role in providing all residents with a safe, structured and therapeutic environment. In addition, the Manager of Residential Services is responsible for developing and maintaining program policies and procedures. The Manager of Residential Services is a part of the administration on call and does work occasional weekends, evenings, and nights as needed. BENEFITS

  • Bachelor's Degree human service field
  • 5 years of professional experience working with children/adolescents. Two years of which must have been in a residential or acute facility for children/adolescents;
  • Or a combination of high school diploma/GED and experience working with children as approved by the department.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with 24-hour staff scheduling using Inovalon (Shifthound) or UKG Pro Workforce Management & Scheduling
  • Detail oriented and ability to successfully multi task in a fast pace environment.
  • Highly effective listening skills and Verbal De-escalation
  • Must be able to set and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintain therapeutic boundaries during treatment and following discharge.
  • Must be able to complete Handle With Care and become a facility instructor
  • Must be able to complete CPR and become a facility instructor
  • Background:Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test. Additional Requirements/Skills
    • Must be able to read, understand, and follow: policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
    • May be required to work flexible hours.
    • Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 7am-4pm; weekend rounding every 5 weeks, evening rounding on occasions.
    • On call as needed to support staff in the department.
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Hearing to perceive the nature of sound with no less than 40 db loss @ 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction; ability to perceive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound.
    • Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands and fingers.
